FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE

As I whispered through the wind I heard the crank moaning from the stress of 65 mile ride. Riding the last 10 mile strip alone I heard the trees cheering me on. With pain in my knees I finish the ride. As I wait for my Dad I lay on the shoulders of the grass.

Picture for the book Reckless

He is going up a hill climb almost to steep wondering if he should jump off. No he keeps going, he finally makes it to the top heart rate is up and wondering how he is going to get down. He is excited and nervous, he has completed the challenge. He doesnt know what they might have him do now. He makes it down with all the other bikes almost growling at him. They challenge him with an even steeper hill his old suzuki might not make it. He follows a big bor yamaha blowing dust into his helmet. The yamaha gives up but he keeps going, with the bike about to quit he pushes even more. He is about to cry he is so nervous. BANG he is there at the tip top. He falls off and the bike is spinning around on the gravel. He gets down and every challenger leaves. He is so excited they didnt beat him up. He rides off onto the road to get home.

School Picture

Today I went to London and met to guards on sentry duty at Buckingham Palace.  I did not ask them anything because that might violate their duty commands. By the looks they might have been uncomfortable,  and they had to be under strict commands. Behind them looked like a shelter. I think that is nice because when it rains I wouldn't want to be there.

My Mentor Hero

My mentor hero would be Lance Armstrong. I have looked up to Lance Armstrong since I was a young kid. Lance Armstrong has raced in the biggest race and I want to accomplish that at by at least the age of thirty. I have been training and am tyring to do more and more rides a year. My Dad has helped me accomplish that goal by buying me after market parts and helping me keep my body in shape. My goal is to at least meet him. Even though he might not be riding in the Tour De France he will still be an example to me. I believe that Lance Armstrong will always be an example as long as I ride. He impresses me by the way he fought for cancer and the power he puts into cycling.
